MultiSpec® NIR is part
of the modular MultiSpec® instrument family
of fast and simultaneously measuring diode array spectrometers.
Complete spectra can be acquired within milliseconds. Because
of their robust 19" design they are ideal tools for process
applications. Several spectral ranges, resolutions and PC-interfaces
are available. The integrated spectrometer modules are high
performance optical components without moving parts and high
reliability and longterm stability. tec5 instruments are provided
with latest (extended) InGaAs technology with high dynamic
range of up to 16 bit. The fast switching multiplexer, based
on piezo technology, allows the measurement with up to eight
measurement channels with only one instrument. By the standardised
SMA connectors on the front side the connection of optical
fibers and measurement probes is provided in an easy way.

| Multiple Measurement Channels – Multiplexer Technology |

The combination with the optical
multiplexer MUX-FSM, which is based on latest piezo
technology, allows the measurement with up to eight
measurement channels. A high switching time of 20 ms,
high efficiency, outstanding reproducibility and
a long life time are typical for this multiplexer.
Alternative we offer a sequential
2-channel multiplexer (MUX-2OPT). This can be used for
direct referencing of the light source to compensate
long term variations. Also spectra at 2 different measurement
locations can be taken.

The MultiSpec®
NIR systems can be equipped with a high-stable halogen lamp,
suitable for the full NIR range.
MultiSpec®
UV-NIR SpectroPhotometer
The MultiSpec®
UV-NIR SpectroPhotometer from tec5 - a combination of diverse
NIR single element detectors with a UV-VIS spectrometer module
- provides a cost effective alternative for applications where
only few wavelengths are required in the NIR. A typical application
is the measurement of water in organic liquids or OH numbers.
Process Communication
The MultiSpec®
systems can be equipped with different interfaces for process communication. Results, status information as well as control signals can be transferred to a process control system via OPC, Profibus or analog and digital I/O. In addition, the system can be remotely controlled by a host system (SPS, PLS).
